Emerald Kikuyu is less invasive, has a richer green colour and finer leaf texture than regular Kikuyu, growing into a beautiful, dense green lawn. Kikuyu lawns can handle wear and tear, and a wide range of temperatures. Perennial Ryegrass in the seed blend acts as a mother crop, helping to protect and support the growth of the Kikuyu, and you’ll see Ryegrass germination within 5-7 days *. The Kikuyu will become the dominant grass over time, however, it is very important to keep mowing the Ryegrass to allow warmth and light into the Kikuyu so it can germinate and establish.
